Iron Man: Earth's End

Upon appearing my inbox this artwork really caught my attention. The brilliant, vibrant hot colour really made this stand out among the rest and I most defiantly had to see it. The composition shows movement and ferocity, the pose reflecting action.

The vision of the composition is likeable to the eye. The harsh colours and dark shadows really bring out an apocalyptic feel and depth and it displays the artists idea and concept.

Although Ironman isn't an original character yours, you have applied a truly remarkable vision and idea to the character which is worthy of compliment. Your depiction of Ironman as an angelic form in a chaotic world (or at least that is my interpretation) is something I have not seen in Ironman Fanart before. (I may have been sleeping under a rock if it's been done before... bare with me here <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> )

Technique wise, the artwork has a composition that compliments it well. It shows movement and action in Ironman's pose. The dark background beneath the figure contrasts the shine of the metal to great effect. Like wise where the wings are in danger of being swamped by the flame textures of the sky, you have managed to contrast the wings by making them appear metallic.

The only thing that is stopping me form giving full points on technique, is that texture on some of Ironman's armour is far to clean and could use some rough textures to suit the environment you have created in the artwork. The cracks, although purposely and appropriately placed still don’t have quite the effect they should. The eyes and arc reactor on Ironman also lack the effect as I feel they could be made a little more menacing and fierce.

On Impact I can give you full points because you have successfully created a powerful and apocalyptic artwork that really show the “Earth’s End” as it where and is yet pleasing to the eye without being a strain with so much fierce colours and textures.
